National chief veterinarian: swine fever was detected in about two thousand wild boars since April last year
African swine fever has been detected in about two thousand wild boars in Hungary since the disease appeared in April last year – the national chief veterinarian told M1 news channel on Tuesday.
Bognár Lajos recalled that the infected area had to be increased at the end of the summer and probably even further in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and Hajdú-Bihar counties. He added that in September African swine fever appeared in a hunting ground in the Budakeszi Forestry. (MTI)
