Russia does not need European vegetables
The European Commission requires an explanation from the Russian authorities in connection why they banned the imports of vegetables from all of the EU countries, referring to the diarrhea- bacteria caused epidemic.
The government urged the Russian consumers to only buy domestic products and to avoid the purchase of vegetables from the EU. “Fresh vegetables grown in the EU countries are extracted from the markets in Russia” – said Gennady Onyiscsenko, the head of Russia's consumer protection authority – reports Világgazdaság Online.
