The decline in retail sales accelerated in Russia
In Russia, the decline in retail sales accelerated more than analysts expected in August, when unemployment was also higher than estimated.
According to data from the Russian statistical office, retail sales fell 2.7 percent in August, after a more modest year-on-year decline of 1.9 percent in July. Analysts expected a smaller 2.3 percent drop in retail sales last month. (MTI)
