Russia has introduced temporary embargo on Hungarian live pigs and meat products due to swine fever
The Russian Animal Health and Plant Protection Authority has introduced a temporary restriction on the import of live pigs and pork meat products from Hungary from 7 May.
The decision on the provisional measure was born after the number of animals that showed African swine fever (ASP) has increased in Heves county – according to the Russian communication.
The National Chief Food Safety Officer of the National Food Chain Safety Authority (Nébih) said on Monday (Monday) that an other infected wild boar was found in Heves county. (MTI)
