There are huge opportunities in the food industry
The government sees huge opportunities in the food industry, it is no coincidence that it has increased the resources for the development of the sector from the previous 468 billion forints to 750 billion forints in this EU cycle, said the State Secretary responsible for the food industry and trade policy of the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) on Thursday in Tiszabercel, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county. .
Márton Nobilis recalled at the conference held on the occasion of the establishment of the sectoral training center, the cabinet decided to strengthen vocational training in 2010, and as the next step in the process, in 2020, the system of vocational training centers was established, in which the training of specialists was given top priority. Thanks to the development resources coming to agricultural education, students can learn the basics of their profession with the help of the most modern tools, and with this knowledge they can enter the labor market competitively – assessed the state secretary. Márton Nobilis emphasized that the coronavirus epidemic and the war in Ukraine drew attention to how important it is for a country to be self-sufficient in agriculture, to produce agricultural products on its own. The basis of this, however, is the acquisition of knowledge, that is, the training of students in vocational training institutions who will work in the new processing industry facilities and produce the agricultural products necessary for the country – emphasized the state secretary.
The development was made possible by a support program
Speaking about the project, Imre Lévai, the director general of the Northern Agricultural Vocational Training Center, which manages ten vocational training institutions in the four counties, said that in the EU-funded program worth more than HUF 278 million, a sectoral training center was created in the member institution in Tiszabercel. In the course of the investment, power and work machines will be purchased for the presentation and education of precision farming, and the necessary infrastructure for storing the tools will be created. In addition, within the framework of the project, training will be launched to support the activities of the center and to develop the employees’ knowledge of precision management.
