Giant Japanese radish can protect you from heart disease
A Japanese type of radish can be used to prevent heart disease, which is considered to be one of the largest vegetables in the world – agrarszektor.hu wrote. A crop of more than 31 kilos was also included in the Guiness Records book.
According to a recent study, the Japanese giant radish species called Sakurajima Daikon (also called “monster”) have chemical compounds that can help to protect the coronary arteries and prevent heart disease or stroke – sciencedaily.com wrote. The discovery can help researchers find similar compounds in other vegetables, and may even make new medicines. (agrarszektor.hu)
