Viktor Orbán: We have established the Drought Protection Operational Group
Today, we have established the Drought Protection Operational Group – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced in a video posted on Facebook on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister said that according to all scientific and professional analyses, Hungary is facing a drought year this year as well, despite the fact that it is currently raining. “This is not a new problem in Hungary, we have to deal with floods, inland water, and drought. This year will be a drought year, so we have to cope with it,” Viktor Orbán said. The Prime Minister said that on Tuesday, the members of the operational group took stock of the available tools and opportunities to prevent the consequences of the drought this year and mitigate the damage. “I ask all farmers to cooperate with the operational group, because it is in our common interest to be able to close a successful year on the land as well,” Viktor Orbán concluded his video message.
