Optimistic online shops
GKI Digital and árukereső.hu’s joint survey found that in Q2 2014 sales realised by online shops grew robustly. It doesn’t come as a surprise that the mood is rather optimistic in the segment. Sales in the six sectors amounted to HUF 35 billion in the 2nd quarter, from which consumer electronics were responsible for HUF 11.1 billion. However, sales growth was the biggest in the garden category, surging by 69 percent. In the first half of the year the consumer electronics sector realised 47 percent of its total sales expected for 2014. After the sales drop in the 1st quarter toy, gift and book sales soared in the 2nd quarter.
