U.S. consumers are more optimistic than in July
The mood of consumers slightly improved in the United States: the indicator’s value in August rose by 69.6 points from the 67.8 points of July – published the Michigan State University.
Analysts expected 69.3 points. In June, the indicator was almost 10 points higher, stood on 76 points – on its nearly two and a half years high.
The August data, which is only slightly better than the data of July, indicates that the U.S. population remained to worry about their jobs and the safety of their income, and they fear that inflation will increase in the next few months – reports MTI.
