After more than a decade, Hungary once again participated with an independent stand at the Ferien Messe exhibition, Austria’s largest tourism fair, in Vienna between January 15-18. Visit Hungary implemented the appearance with a unified image and a distinctive stand, directly adjacent to the independent stand of Visit Balaton.
The two stands together served the purpose of simultaneously presenting the diversity of the domestic tourist offer – city experiences, nature and active programs, cultural and gastronomic offers – to the fair’s more than 71 thousand visitors. The co-exhibitors at the Hungarian national stand included, among others, Adventor Hotels, Ensana Health Spa Hotels, the city of Hévíz, Hunguest Hotels, Lotus Therme Hotel & Spa, Spirit Hotel Thermal Spa, Platán Tata, and Városliget were also introduced.
According to a report by Turizmus.com, Krisztina Henyecz, the division manager responsible for business cooperation at Visit Hungary, highlighted that the Austrian market is a particularly important Central European sending market, where there is strong interest in the Hungarian tourism offer, and the presence of an independent stand was also a clear demand from service providers.
Turizus.com recalls that the stability of the Austrian market is strengthened by geographical proximity, good transport connections and a diverse offer, while the Vienna fair is not only in reaching the general public, but also an important platform from a professional perspective: business negotiations, partner discussions and presentations at the stand helped to further strengthen the market presence of Hungarian service providers.
