Due to the presence of olive leaves, Alanex Kft. has initiated a consumer recall of the crumbled oregano and several spice mixtures it sells – the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) announced to MTI on Thursday.
The authority requests that anyone who purchased the 100-gram product called Oregano crumbled, or the 350 and 33-gram packages of Ízműhely Ropogós duck seasoning salt, or 300 or 100 gram Ízműhely Pecsenye seasoning salt, do not consume them.
In addition, the recall affects the 40 gram Ízműhely Italian seasoning mix, the 90 gram Ízműhely Greek gyro seasoning salt, the 250 gram Ízműhely Chili-Hungarian seasoning mix, the 350 and 120 gram Ízműhely Mexican seasoning salt, as well as the 50 gram Bulkshop cajun, the 100 gram Bulkshop pizza and the 50 gram Bulkshop fajitas seasoning mix.
Alanex Kft., in cooperation with the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority, took the necessary measures, ensured the withdrawal of the affected items from circulation, and recalled them from consumers. The NKFH is monitoring the measures taken by the company and the further fate of the recalled products (destruction or removal).
The announcement also reported that the consumption of the recalled products does not pose a food safety risk.
