The excellent Hungarian honey competes with cheap Chinese imports on the European market
Last year's stormy weather decimated the Hungarian honey yield, Hungary's exports decreased to 12 thousand tonnes from the previous level of around 20 thousand tonnes.
The major European distributors replaced the lost crop with cheap Chinese import honey last year.
