Italy: World Heritage of Flavors – Guest Country at the SIRHA Budapest 2026 Trade Fair
The Budapest office of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA)is looking forward to this year’s SIRHA Budapest exhibition, where Italy will be the guest of honor.

According to the latest trade data (KSH), the value of Hungary’s food and beverage imports reaches 9.3 billion euros. Italy ranks 8th among partners with 481 million euros, which represents a 2.5% increase and a 5.2% market share.
ITA’s Budapest office has been participating in the SIRHA trade fair with Italian companies for ten years now, and in 2026 it will present a record number of 29 Italian food manufacturers on its collective stand. Most of our exhibitors are currently looking for business partners in Hungary and are happy to receive inquiries from interested buyers.
The product range presented is extremely diverse: in addition to cheeses and meat products, visitors can also get acquainted with professional flours, sauces, olive oils, pastas, coffees and many other high-quality products — the noblest ingredients of Italian cuisine, which was officially added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List at the end of 2025 — a treasure that should be shared and celebrated worldwide.
This year’s participation is particularly significant, as it coincides with the Italian Trade Institute (Italian Trade Agency) with the 100th anniversary of its global office network.
We look forward to welcoming you to the ITA Italian Community Stand in Pavilion A / 304A–306B, where we will be preparing food tastings, pizza demonstrations and an authentic Italian aperitivo atmosphere on 448 square meters.
Visit us at the SIRHA Budapest “Pavilion A / 304A–306B” stand and taste the finest flavors of Italy!

Show cooking area – Pizza demonstrations and tastings
The delegation of the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani will also join us for an authentic with a Neapolitan pizza presentation. The president of the association, Gianluca Pirro, also participates as a jury member in the Hungarian Pizza Championship organized by FUPI.
The APN – Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani was founded in July 1998 with the aim of preserving and representing the profession that symbolizes Neapolitan culture: pizza making. The letter “U” in its name, used in the Neapolitan dialect, has a special significance: it symbolizes both the pizza tradition and its modern development. Thanks to its social and institutional engagement over the years, APN is now a globally recognized organization with over 1,500 members and an extensive network of 18 delegations.
Ice cream presentation
In Pavilion G, in cooperation with the Hungarian Confectionery Industry Association, we will be holding an ice cream presentation, where the creations of a young talent, Francesco Buccafurni, represented by the Italian Ice Cream and Chocolate Federation (FIPGC), will be on display.
Francesco was born in July 2004 and entered the world of ice cream making at the age of 10, thanks to the passion he inherited from his father. Together with his family, he continues the tradition founded in 1953, which has now spanned four generations. Despite his young age, he has won numerous Italian competitions, won the “Gelato Oscar” and came third in the SIGEP Gelato d’Oro finals.
