Italy is the largest ice cream maker in the EU
Among the 28 Member States of the European Union the most ice cream was made in Italy last year. Hungary is ranked 12th – Eurostat statistics show.
According to the data published by the EU’s statistical office on Wednesday, almost one fifth of the total ice cream production of the EU (3.211 billion liters), 595.1 million liters of ice cream is made in Italy, followed by Germany (515 million liters) and France (453.5 million liters). (MTI)
