Italy is our second largest export market in the EU, while it is our sixth biggest supplier in terms of imports. Export revenues totalled EUR 349, showing growth of 21,6 per cent. Exports of corn tripled and amounted to EUR 91 million in 2006, while that of milk and cream increased by 80 per cent. Exports of live sheep represented 10 per cent of our agricultural export to Italy, like that of wheat. Sunflower seed and honey were also significant export items. Imports from Italy totalled EUR 155 million in 2006. Products were diverse, with only four products of true significance: wine, mineral water, rice and soya, each representing a value of EUR 10-11 million.
