Private borrowing to be tightened from October
From October 1, the National Bank of Hungary regulates the percentage of income that a household can spend on repaying a loan. The goal is for more people to choose safer mortgage loans.
The lending regime to be completely transformed by autumn, but it is unlikely that this lending will have a negative effect.
Vincze Krisztián, head of the Credit Center of the GDN Real Estate Network, said that borrowing should take into account the income of those living in the household.
