Food price increase reaches 40% in October
Consumer prices elevated by 21.1% in October 2022, in comparison with October 2021. In one month prices became 2% higher on average. Food prices jumped 40% in comparison with October 2021. Eggs cost 87.9% more, the price of bread increased by 81.4%, dairy products became 75.4% more expensive, and we had to pay 58.6% more for pasta. Alcoholic drink and tobacco product prices increased by 12.8%. Compared with September 2022, consumer prices were up 2% and food prices got 4.3% bigger. //
