The trade surplus was 374 million euros in October
In October, the euro value of exports fell by 2.1 percent, while the euro value of imports grew by 2.3 percent, compared to a year before. The trade surplus was 374 million euros, 322 million euros lower than in the previous year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) published on Tuesday, on the basis of the first estimate.
This January-October exports increased by 3.6, while imports increased by 4.2 percent. The the export surplus was 217 million euros lower, compared to the 5.356 billion euros of teh same period of the previous year.
The preliminary industry statistics released on Friday has already projected the halt of exports: in October industrial production increased by 1.7 percent in an annual comparision, after a 7.6 percent increase of September. (MTI)
