OKSZ: the exclusion of Erzsébet-vouchers from food purchases would cause serious problems
According to the National Retail Federation (OKSZ), the exclusion of Erzsébet-vouchers from food purchases would cause serious problems, as beyond turnover deficit it would cause the loss of jobs and would cause a reduction in tax revenues as well.
The organization in its Tuesday communication reminded, that the most popular cafeteria element is the Erzsébet-voucher, and thanks to the government's tax policies it can be given with more favorable terms than non-wage benefits. Last year it was given in a value of 80 billion HUF. Significant portion of the Erzsébet-vouchers were used in food stores by the employers. This means that 1-2 percent of food purchases were carried out with Erzsébet-vouchers – the communication of the OKSZ points out. (MTI)
