Smart store equipment
According to Gábor Szécsi, managing director of Commatec Kft. retailers have increasingly higher expectations even from simple cash registers. For instance they like if features of promotions can easily be set on cash registers too or if loyalty cards can be handled in a way that customers are offered tailor-made discounts. Cash registers also provide updated data on how certain products sell and what should be ordered. These types of cash register are compatible with practically all kinds of existing IT systems. Limitations only occur due to legislation (National Tax and Customs Administration) concerning cash registers. Commatec Kft. is the Hungarian representative of Japanese company TEC; they sold more than 35,000 tax authority-licensed TEC cash registers so far and users are completely satisfied with them. Digital scales and high-capacity barcode printers are also available; installation, maintenance, updates and remote assistance are provided by Commatec with all systems and products. Pál Tóth, Bizerba Mérleg Hungária Kft.’s commercial director told us that their latest product is a PC-based touchscreen system scales that also features a display on the customer side, on which advertisements can be run. It is also capable of finding and printing recipes for the product the customer just bought and useful product information (vitamin, mineral and fat content, etc.) can also be displayed. Pál Tóth told us that these scales can easily be fitted into the existing IT systems of stores. Bizerba also offers service and maintenance – it is very important for the company that partners’ turnover should remain unaffected if a scales temporarily breaks down.
