This year the Coop Rally visited 5 counties in Western Hungary. The event, which took place on 13-14 September and was organised for the 17th time in 2023, attracted nearly 300 participants who made 8 stops in Fejér, Komárom-Esztergom, Somogy, Vas and Veszprém counties and in Budapest.

Just like in former years, the Coop Rally was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and its chef patron was Minister of Agriculture Dr István Nagy, who told at the closing ceremony:
“I am grateful to the Coop retail chain, because domestic food products have a more than 85% share in their stores. We are working to ensure that all the retail chains in Hungary, both Hungarian and multinational, reach minimum this level”.
The minister also presented Co-op Hungary Zrt. with a ministerial certificate of appreciation, which was accepted by László Pekó, chairman of the group’s Board of Directors. László Pekó said thank you to the government for launching the Hungarian Village Programme, as part of which the group’s HUF 5bn investment was complemented with HUF 7bn state funding, so that 461 Coop stores could be modernised, by this making life better for about 450,000 people living in small villages.
