Eight hundred million internet users in China
The number of internet users is growing rapidly in China. According to a research by a state organization, the China Internet Network Information Center, the number of Internet users in the Asian country currently reaches 802 million.
The institute estimates that 29.68 million of them used the net for the first time in their lives only in the first quarter of this year.
According to the report of the state institute, most people have access to the world wide web from their mobile phones, a total of 788 million people. (origo)
