Eight million HUF fine for Tesco
The Competition Authority fined Tesco, to 8 million HUF, because the company used unfair trade practices in certain actions between the 1st of September 2008 and the 16th of March 2009.
According to the Competition Authority; Tesco published information to consumers that the products in its adverts can be purchased in the stores under the same conditions and on the same prices that were mentioned in the ads.
During the investigation Tesco acknowledged that some products (Flora margarine, Kinder milk slice, "learning dog" and "My Secret Diary" games) were not available in some stores, during the first few days of the discount action – reports Világgazdaság Online.
