OnBuy launches in 8 new markets
Popular cashback marketplace OnBuy is rolling out in eight new markets. This brings the total of the company’s footprint to 21 European countries. The expansion follows strong performance, with an increase of 152 percent in quarterly sales last year.
OnBuy is based in the United Kingdom, and was founded in 2016. It runs an online marketplace platform, but unlike other platsforms, OnBuy is not a seller. It hosts the platform for online retailers. And customers get instantly redeemable cashback on every purchase. At the beginning of last year, the company already reported 30 percent day-on-day growth in key European markets. It had also already announced expansion plans in continental Europe.
Launch in 8 European countries
Now, the online marketplace has announced further expansion. It is rolling out in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic and Switzerland. Online retailers can register to join the platform and reach more than 35 million European shoppers.
Growth in existing markets
OnBuy was already active in 12 European countries. According to the company, these markets saw 152 percent quarterly sales growth. The average monthly site visits increased with 300 percent in the second half of 2025. The eight new markets already saw a 374 percent quarterly uplift in the beta phase, says OnBuy.
“Across Europe, retailers are looking for new ways of doing things. They are tired of marketplaces that compete with them, squeeze margins or move goalposts. OnBuy is proving that a different approach works, which is clearly reflected in the growth we have experienced”, said Cas Paton, CEO and founder of OnBuy.
‘Closer to pan-European marketplace’
“We are the only marketplace that gives customer real cash rewards on every purchase. It boosts repeat purchases, grows lifetime value and gives sellers a competitive edge from day one, which is something retailers simply do not get anywhere else.”
“This new phase of our expansion brings us closer to a truly pan-European marketplace built on fairness, transparency and growth. For retailers, this is a chance to get ahead and established while we change the ecommerce landscape.
