The global sales of tablet PCs decreased by eight percent this year
The world market turnover of tablets decreased by eight percent this year, while the demand is shifting towards commercial and large appliances with keyboards in the future – the International Data Corporation (IDC) US, IT and telecommunications market research company announced on Tuesday.
The IDC estimates that this year global sales of tablet PCs will decline by 8.1 percent to 211.3 million compared to 2014. The new forecast follows three consecutive quarters of declining worldwide tablet shipments in 2015. Despite the challenges facing the overall market, IDC expects detachable tablets will continue to represent a growing portion of total shipments. (MTI)
