Professional organizations urged the Increase of the purchase price of raw milk at the dairy sector negotiations

Without the rise in the purchase price of raw milk, the domestic raw materials can not be kept in the country and if only imported products will be on the market in the future, it will be difficult to ensure the dairy sector’s stability – the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) summed up the findings of the dairy sector negotiations. The Communication was sent to MTI on Wednesday.

Harcz Zoltán, Managing Director of the Milk Interprofessional Organization and Product Council, said that in the last two years there was a supply market in the European Union. The dramatic decrease in raw milk prices is caused by the significant overproduction. Due to the low prices a lot of producers stopped producing in some European producers, so raw milk supply declined in the EU in January-May this year, compared to last year’s same period. (MTI)
