Auchan Portugal Adopts Nutri-Score For Own-Brand Products
Auchan Retail Portugal is implementing the Nutri-Score nutritional labelling system in all private-label products, reports suggest.
The new label will be added to more than 2,000 products by the middle of next year.
The system helps consumers to make more informed decisions about their food by highlighting their nutritional value.
The Nutri-Score system classifies foods with letters A to E, where each letter corresponds to a colour – green, light green, yellow, orange and red.
The labelling scheme attributes positive points to contents such as fibre, protein, fruit, vegetables, and nuts.
