In November foreign trade volume increased again
In November 2011, the volume of exports increased by 7.9%, and that of import grew by 4.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. The dominant part of the export and import growth was realized invariably in case of goods related to the manufacture of transport equipment and the exchange rate effect was significant in November, too.
In January–November 2011, the value of exports amounted to HUF 20,491 billion (EUR 74
billion), that of imports to HUF 18,649 billion (EUR 67 billion), while the volumes of exports and
imports were 11% and 7.4% higher respectively than in the same period of the previous year. The balance
of trade showed a surplus of HUF 1,842 billion (EUR 6,605 million), which meant an increase of HUF
442 billion (EUR 1,503 million) compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
