The agraricultural chamber would increase apple consumption
Apple consumption is decreasing since years. the per capita consumption is 12 kilograms per year, which should be increased to 20 to 25 kilograms, therefore a campaign was launched to boost consumption – Mártonffy Béla, chairman of the National Horticulture Department of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) told M1 news channel on Friday.
According to his information, consumers within five campaigns – Auchan, CBA, Metro, Spar, Tesco – in Budapest and in rural shops – will be able to meet and taste high-quality Hungarian apples. The campaign was established with the cooperation of the Agricultural Marketing Center, the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) for the second time. (MTI)
