Lidl and Aldi expand faster
Aldi plans to open 93 new stores and Lidl intends to build 78 new units in the United Kingdom, twice as many as earlier. At the moment the market share of the retail chains offering cheaper groceries is 9.9 percent in the UK, but analysts expect this proportion to grow to 15 percent next year, because middle class consumers can afford buying luxury groceries in these units.
