Spain exports less fruit and vegetables with growing sales

324 thousand tons of tomatoes exported by Spaniards in January-April
Vegetables accounted for 2.4 million tonnes of the total (-3.6%), while sales increased by 9.8% (3.413 billion euros). Peppers exported in a volume of 400,000 tonnes (-3% but worth 660 million euros [+ 0.3%]), lettuce (390,000 tonnes [-6%], 449 million euros [+ 8%]) and tomatoes (324 thousand tonnes [-7%], 598 million euros [+ 20%]).
