Retail sales rose in Romania
In the first two months of this year, the Romanian retail sales volume rose 5.4 percent, compared to the same period last year – the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Tuesday.
The seasonal and calendar effects adjusted increase was 7.1 percent. The increase is mainly due to the sale of fuel, which increased by 12 percent. Non-food sales increased by 6.5 percent, while food, beverages and tobacco sales were 1 percent higher than in the previous year. (MTI)
