Danone increased its sales in the third quarter of this year
The French food industrial group announced on Tuesday that the company reached a turnover of 6.454 billion euros in the third quarter of this year. This is a 4.7 percent increase over the year, higher than the 2.8 percent increase expected by experts.
The company’s second quarter growth was considerably lower, 0.2 percent. Danone highlighted in connection with the third quarter that the sales of especially baby food and mineral water have increased.
The growth in baby food sales was significantly contributed to the nearly 50 percent increase in sales in China. Danone’s exchange rate was nearly 2.5 percent plus on the Paris Stock Exchange on Tuesday at an early stage of trading. (vg.hu)
