The performance of the euro area economy increased in the second quarter
The economic performance of the eurozone increased in the second quarter, according to a report by the European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat, on Tuesday.
In its second – and not final – estimate, Eurostat reported that in 19 euro area Member States, gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2 percent quarter-on-quarter and 13.6 percent year-on-year in the quarter to end-June. (MTI)
