The proportion of separately collected beverage cartons has increased
Last year, the proportion of separately collected beverage cartons has increased by 23 percent in Hungary.
According to data of the Beverage Carton Environment Association (IKSZ) the amount of separately collected and recycled milk and fruit soup cans amounted to 2,700 tonnes, 120 tonnes more than in the previous year.
According to the IKSZ, 420 million beverage cartons were marketed last year in Hungary. The Hungarian households used an average of 120 boxes per year. However, only 23 percent, 28 boxes were thrown to the selective collectors, allowing them to be recycled. (MTI)
