Retail sales increased in the euro area
In the euro area, the volume of retail trade turnover increased by 1 percent in November, compared to the previous month and was 7.8 percent higher than in November 2020, according to the European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat.

Growth in euro area retail sales exceeds expectations
Experts expected a 0.5 percent drop in retail sales on a monthly basis and a more modest 5.6 percent increase on an annual basis.
In the 27 member states of the European Union, retail sales grew by 0.9 percent month-on-month and 7.9 percent year-on-year in November. (MTI)
