Retail sales increased in the EU
Retail sales increased in the European Union (EU) in January 2014, compared to December 2013.
Retail sales in the EU28 increased by 0.9 percent, while in the Euro Zone that has 18 members retail sales increased by 1.6 percent – the EU's statistical office, the Eurostat published on Wednesday.
By comparing January 2014 to January 2013 – on an annual basis, retail sales increased in the European Union (EU) by 1.9 percent and by 1.3 percent in the Euro Zone. (MTI)
