Domestic cattle stocks have increased
The Hungarian cattle population increased between 2010 and 2013, due to the recovery of the internal market and the support system in the sector – Feldman Zsolt Deputy Minister of State, responsible for agri management told in Bonyhád on Friday, at the 17th national agricultural forum.
Feldman Zsolt explained, that in 2010 the cattle population was 681 thousand, now the number of cattle is 753 thousand, including a 30 thousand increase in the number of cows as well. He added that producer prices in the the dairy sector are rising steadily from the nadir of 2008-2009 and they managed to build a diversified scheme as well. (MTI)
