Increased market share for fruit juice
Between December 2013 and May 2014 the fruit juice market expanded by 12 percent from the base period and sales reached HUF 21 billion; volume sales rose 7 percent. Orange realised 21 percent of sales, peach followed with 15 percent, next in the ranking is mixed fruits and apple at 14 percent each. Retail channels’ share: above 2,500m² – 29 percent, 401-2,500m² – 36 percent, 201-400m² – 8 percent. Manufacturer brands lost 1 percentage point from their value share and were at 73 percent. Nearly HUF 3 billion was spent on television commercials – 28 percent more than a year earlier.
