Market share of more expensive nectars and juices growing
While HoReCaA sales of fruit and vegetable juices fell by 4 per cent in terms in volume, the same grew by 3 per cent in terms of value between December 2005 and November 2006. The total market was worth approximately HUF 24 billion. Fruit juice had a share of 98 per cent in the category,. The difference between sales in terms of volume and value is due to the decline in the market share of the cheaper, 0-24 per cent fruit content segment, while the shares of the 25-99 per cent and 100 per cent segments grew.
