More than three quarters of households buy ham on a regular basis
Different types of ham (machine ham, smoked-cooked, dried, matured and peasant hams) remain to be popular: in the first ten months of 2010 more than three quarters of households bought such products – according to Gfk Hungária’s ConsumerScan. Nearly half of all machine ham sales were realised by families of 3 or 4. Consumers in the 30-49 age group preferred machine ham, while those in the 50-59 age group bought more of the other ham products.
