According to a survey the popularity of renting private homes decreases while hotels grow
The popularity of private homes for rent decreases, while the popularity of hotels grow. The majority of Hungarians prefer hotels and apartments during their trips – according to the 2019 joint survey of Bónusz Brigád and GKI Digital on travel habits.
According to an announcement sent to MTI on Thursday, 67 percent of respondents choose hotels and 54 percent apartments this year. In the last year’s survey, both types of accommodation were chosen by the Hungarians at a lower rate than in the present, 63 percent and 48 percent respectively. At the same time, the popularity of renting private homes decreased: in 2019, 14 percent of the respondents chose it, while a year before, 17 percent of them spent their vacations in private homes or rooms.
