Excise tax on cigarettes will increase
The excise tax rate on cigarettes rises to the EU level in three steps and the operation of sports properties becomes more favorable after the Parliament has adopted the necessary amendments to the tax laws and other related laws due to EU harmonization obligations.
The legislation was adopted with 127 votes in favor, 16 votes against and 42 abstentions.
The excise rate on cigarettes and consumer tobacco will rise next year; the tax reaches the EU tax minimum in three steps, for 1 January 2021. (MTI)
