Budapest Tourism increases
The commercial accommodations of Budapest received 415 thousand guests in the first three months of 2010, 7.6 percent more than the in same period of last year and 3.6 percent more than the whole country – reports the Central Statistical Office.
The increase is mainly due to the 9 percent growth of foreign guests, who missed their trip last year, because of the crisis but returned this year. The number of domestic visitors also increased by 2.3 percent. The guests in January-March 2010 spent 969 thousand guest nights in the commercial accommodations of Budapest, 5.0 percent more than a year earlier.
