NKFH: poppy seeds recalled due to pesticide
Spar Hungary Ltd. has recalled edible poppy seeds due to an unauthorized pesticide – the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) announced.
It was announced that the best-before date of the affected 250-gram S-budget edible poppy seeds is 2026.02.05 and 2026.04.14.
The batch identifiers of the products are L25 036 714; L25 104 714, and the supplier is VOG Export-Import Ltd. Anyone who has purchased a product with these batch identifiers and is still in possession of the product should not consume it.
SPAR Hungary Ltd., in cooperation with the NKFH, took the necessary measures within its own jurisdiction, ensuring that the affected items were withdrawn from circulation and recalled from consumers.
The authority is monitoring the measures taken by the company and the further fate of the recalled products.
