NKFH: Auchan recalled tenderloin steak contaminated with salmonella
The Auchan supermarket chain has initiated a recall of salmonella-infected beef tenderloin, the best before date of the recalled product is November 19, 2025, the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH) told MTI on Tuesday.
According to the announcement, the pathogen was detected in the batch of Auchan Kedvenc beef tenderloin 500 g based on a self-check, they wrote.
The company, in cooperation with the NKFH, immediately took the necessary measures within its own jurisdiction, ensuring that the objectionable batch was withdrawn from circulation and recalled from consumers. The measures taken by the company, as well as the further fate of the recalled products – destruction or transportation – are supervised by the NKFH, they wrote.
In the announcement, consumers were advised not to consume the affected product and to return it to Auchan Hungary Kft. You can take it back to their stores.
