No virus in pork
Pork and other food products are not infectious. The flu virus is spreading by coughs and sneezes from one man to another – states the communication of the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture.
Therefore, the new influenza virus
would not infect through meat consumption if it would be appeared in
Hungary. In Hungary the animal health protection situation is
basically good, animal husbandry is running under strict rules and
strict control. As a result, the country has been free for many years
from serious animal epidemics. We need to know that the virus is no
longer the virus of swine flu! It’s a new virus, which combines the
genetic stock of human, avian and swine influenza. Thus, it is not
swines that carries and spreads this patogen, but the human himself.
