Nielsen: Easter candies were sold in a value of nearly 4 billion HUF last year
About 844 tons of chocolate bunnies, eggs and other festive sweets were sold by retail last year during the Easter period in a value of almost 4 billion HUF.
In terms of the value, sales decreased by 10 percent compared to the Easter season of 2014 – the Retail Index of the Nielsen consumer information and knowledge services company reveals among others.
Eggs and rabbit figurines continued to dominate. The market share of chocolate bunny is 41 percent while the share of chocolate eggs remained 39 percent.
