Nielsen: annual turnover of sunscreens is over two billion
More than half of the adult Hungarians use sunscreen at least occasionally; one third use them only on holiday and nearly one-fifth of them when they feel the sun is burning.
Forty percent of them do not defend against harmful ultraviolet rays, especially this is true for Hungarian men (almost 60 percent), according to Nielsen’s representative summer sunscreen 2018 survey. Hungarians spent more than two billion forints in value between May 2017 and May 2018 for this category, 25 percent more than a year before, according to Nielsen.
