Nielsen: the sales of nonprescription drugs and medicinal products increased by seven percent
Retail reached 7 percent more in case of non-prescription and non-prescription drugs and medicinal products in the first half of this year, compared to the same period of last year. The turnover of the thirty-five categories (OTC) measured by Nielsen reached about 63 billion HUF this year from January to June.
Vitamins with the highest turnover, supplements, and analgesics reached nearly half (45 percent) of the revenue of the medicine that are available without prescription and medicinal products.
Overall, in 27 of the 35 OTC categories Nielsen measured increased in turnover in January-June this year, while in eight case turnover decreased.
